Background:
Mommar Commercial Group was established by Mr.Moammar Mahmood Al-Salimi as a commercial and industrial group in 2005. The core business of the group was freezing and exporting seafood, mainly Squid; later on, the business expanded to include two facilities for freezing, storing and processing seafood for export purposes.
Now the group expands to include two additional manufacturing facilities, one for Ice blocks manufacturing and one for tomato paste manufacturing. The work is still in progress in the tomato factory; however the Ice factory is already in business and covers a significant part of the local market.
Still the core business of the group is seafood, we export several products like Squid, indian Mackrel, Octopus, and other products.
Operating Capacity:
The Seafood production takes place in two production plant:
1. Al-Mansoora Plant: it includes one loading dock, one processing hall, three freezers, and one waiting warehouse with a total capacity of 400 Tons.
The freezing capacity of this plant is 3x2x4 Ton per day.
2- The new Seafood plant in Al-Rabat District: it expands over an area of 20,000 Sqr.M and includes :
1- Loading dock: can hold two containers at the same time.
2- six (6) Freezing rooms with capacity of 400 Tons each. i.e. total capacity of 2,400 Tons.
3- large processing hall.

Short storing period
For a long time, we decided to operate at the principle of a short storing policy, this ensures a continuous flow of products to the consumption markets from one side and also ensures that the products reach the customers fresh and with high quality grade.

The received products are classified and labeled and packed in clearly identified cartoons.
We have our own power plant to power the freezing rooms 24/7 to keep the products in their best condition and ready for export anytime.
